STAIN INDEX
traffic lanes carpet
Vacuum lanes slowly, multiple passes, different directions. Use a mat at every entry.
The method
- Vacuum lanes slowly, multiple passes, different directions.
- Vacuum more often in lanes than everywhere else.
- Use a mat at every entry.
- Never scrub a traffic lane with a stiff brush.
- Get lanes extracted before the soil grinds the fiber.
Why the common fix backfires
Traffic lanes are two different problems at once — soil in the fiber, and abrasion damage where the fiber has been scratched dull. Scrubbing fixes the first and worsens the second.
The honest limit
Abraded fiber doesn't come back. Cleaning removes soil, it can't repair a scratched surface — and anyone promising it can is lying to you.
