Color Sealing vs Penetrating Sealer
Spiker discontinued color sealing. It is a pigmented coating over grout rather than clean grout underneath, and when it wears it wears unevenly and is difficult and expensive to correct.
The part that actually matters
A penetrating sealer soaks into the pores and repels liquid without changing appearance. It requires the grout to actually be clean first — sealing dirty grout locks the soil in, which is worse than not sealing at all.
