The Healthy Home Reset
A full reset is sequenced: UV inspection to map biological contamination, sub-surface enzyme flush where urine has reached the pad, hot water extraction with acid rinse on all carpet, upholstery and mattress treatment for body oils and allergen load, tile and grout restoration, then protector applied across the board and a maintenance schedule that keeps it there.
Most homes have never had a genuine reset. They have had cleanings — which is different. A cleaning addresses what is visible. A reset addresses the accumulated load underneath it.
The reason to do it as one sequence rather than piecemeal is that the contaminants move between surfaces. Treating carpet while the mattress and upholstery still carry years of body oil just reseeds it.
After the reset, staying there is cheap: slow vacuuming, socks indoors, two mats at every entry, annual protector, and a six-monthly UV check if there are animals.
