The difference between surface clean and properly clean is entirely in the process order: dry soil removal first, alkaline pre-spray with real dwell time, agitation into the base of the pile, hot high-pressure extraction, acid rinse to neutral pH, groomed pile, controlled drying, protector on neutralised fiber. Skipping any step leaves something behind.
Most cleaning looks the same on the day. The difference shows up in weeks four through twelve — whether the carpet stays clean or resoils faster than it did before.
Every shortcut has a visible signature. No pre-vacuum leaves mud in the pile. No dwell time leaves oils bonded. No rinse leaves sticky alkaline residue. No grooming leaves matted pile that dries flat. No protector leaves the fiber unglued.
