- Repeat with cold water until the transfer stops.
Why the common fix backfires
Blood is protein. Heat cooks protein and bonds it to the fiber permanently — the same way an egg sets in a hot pan.
The honest limit
Dried or old blood has bonded to the fiber. Reversing that takes an enzyme treatment and extraction.
