Mustard
on carpet.
It can, and it is worth treating quickly. Lift the solids with a dull edge, blot cold, and call. Mustard is one of the everyday kitchen spills most likely to leave something behind.
Does mustard stain carpet permanently?

FIRST 60 SECONDS MATTER MOSTWhat should you never do with a mustard stain?
Never use hot water and never scrub. Heat sets it, and scrubbing spreads a yellow ring wider than the original spill while abrading the fibre tips so the texture stays different even after the colour improves.
THIS IS WHAT MAKES IT PERMANENTWhy does mustard behave that way?
The colour comes from turmeric, which is a strong natural dye rather than a soil. It bonds readily to synthetic fibre and it is light-sensitive, so the mark can change over the following weeks. Fresh and cold it responds; left to dry it is closer to a colour change in the fibre than a stain on it.
How much does it cost to have this treated?
Pricing is identical across all eight cities. The full breakdown — what each service costs and what it covers — is at the bottom of the carpet cleaning page.
