- Blot residual color with a white cloth.
- Leave the last of it for extraction.
Why the common fix backfires
Pulling hardened wax rips fiber out with it and leaves a bald patch that no cleaning fixes.
The honest limit
Wax that has wicked into the backing needs controlled heat and immediate extraction. A home iron melts the carpet itself.
