Never use hot water — heat drives the dye into the fibre and finishes the reaction. Never apply an oxidising product without testing, because the reaction that takes a dye out can take the carpet’s colour with it.

These drinks are coloured with permanent dyes, and a dye is not soil sitting on the fibre — it is accepted by the fibre chemically. That makes it a colour change in the material, which is a fundamentally different problem from a stain. We will tell you honestly at the inspection when something falls in this category rather than after you have paid.
